I have both of these pictures and I am always surprised that others would find them interesting. In the early fifties, Brookhaven had an event called the Gay Nineties (somewhat similiar to pilgrimage in Natchez and Bettie Price Dunn home was one of the homes that was on tour. She raised a large family there and there is a family cemetary across the road. Descendants of these pioneers still live in the area and many more are scattered throughout the south.
