Indian Mounds and Free Rooms at Leary's

As intriguing as the story in the Daily Leader's Centennial edition on Indian mounds and swamp Indians is, the ad to the right is even more intriguing.

Does anyone know of Leary's Restaurant and Hotel and its actual location?

UPDATE: A Leary descendant reports that the rooms were free to folks who were travel-weary in a time when it could take all day to get into town. (Really good, altruistic people!)  The building, the location of which I am still not clear on, was one of the first, if not THE first, to have electricity and large display windows.

More information will be added as it becomes available!
