Truth in Advertising ...

Don Jackson Collection, LLF Library
"This county store has EVERYTHING; if you believe their sign. No date is noted." -- Library caption.
This store's slogan runs a close second to Abrams' Mercantile's motto: "If you don't find it here, Go Home!"
If anyone can help us figure out who, what, where, how and when, please leave a message here or on my Facebook page.

UPDATE:  This great information is from Caroline Passmore, who is also a history buff and frequent contributor to Findagrave locally:  "This is Brown's Grocery, on Ole Wesson Road, located on the right just past the turn to the Brookhaven Airport. According to my husband, Sonny Passmore, it was originally built and owned by the railroad on their property to service the needs of their employees. Mr. Brown may have managed it and later bought it. He ran it for many years as a country grocery and gas station, and owned a home down the road just before the Charlie Nelms property on the 'right. Mr. Brown finally sold it back in the 80s, and when we moved from Brookhaven in 1989, it was still in business, still selling moon pies and RC colas. Part of the orginal building was still there the last time I was out that way."
